Writing your Dissertation Conclusion

This text will be helpful for those students who do not know how to write a conclusion for their dissertations. Read this information and polish your writing skills.

The majority of students want to use “in conclusion…” but this is not the right way to finish a dissertation or any other type of writing assignment. Typically, writing dissertation conclusion is the most problematic part of the dissertation for students to compose. Students believe that they have presented everything they know in introduction and main body paragraphs, thus the conclusion is not very important. But this is wrong. In fact, the conclusion is considered one of the very important paragraphs of a dissertation ranking with the introductory part.

While writing dissertation conclusion, you should sum up your thesis statement with the sustaining points of your work. It is very important to leave a main point or take away value with your audience. A conclusion must show the ending of your dissertation clearly. When writing dissertation conclusion, you need to tell your readers why the dissertation was significant with reflection from your paper showing the major points and the ways they were supported.

It is highly recommended to utilize smooth passages between the main body and the conclusion, but you should not use such words as “in summary,” “in conclusion,” or “to finalize this dissertation.” Shortly present the thesis and move one step further by engaging your readers in the subject by asking some questions or challenging your audience. You must not present new information but stay with the subject.
